Each week we highlight a person or a team of people who have had an impact in their sphere of influence. Discussion questions stimulate interaction between participants in each session. About MSI

Bruce Mow, M.P.A.
Owner-Founder

Bruce is founder and president of MSI (Maximum Significance International), a consulting firm based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he and his wife Karen established in October 2000.  The mission statement for their company is, “Equipping key leaders for maximum significance.”  His success in business, ministry, the military and athletics laid the foundation for a platform from which he partners with business professionals, entrepreneurs and ministry leaders to help them achieve maximum significance in their lives and in their sphere of influence.

He holds a Masters degree in Public Administration.  He earned the Outstanding Graduate award for his Bachelors degree in Interpersonal Communication.  Immediately following high school he served in the United States Marine Corps achieving the rank of sergeant E-5 in less than two years.  During his college years he attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a lieutenant receiving the Honor Graduate award for the top cadet in his class.

Bruce makes his home in Tulsa with Karen, his high school sweetheart whom he married while in the Marine Corps.  They have two grown  children Daniel (wife Samantha) and Anna (husband Joshua).  Bruce and Karen are actively involved as lay minister leaders in their church and their community.

I am happy to write a letter recommending your Champions in Excellence program to other businesses.  This program has really been a “shot in the arm” for our small community bank.  The message contained in each week’s handout is not only inspirational but is also a great resource to help keep every member of our institution focused on what we as a Bank deem important. Also we have found that the questions following each story provokes each of us to think of practical ways to better improve our performance at work.

At the Bank, like in most companies, communication (or the lack thereof) often is a source of problems and poor morale.   However by scheduling these meetings in each department, we have noticed how communication both within respective departments as well as within the Bank has improved.  As a result, the good morale found within the Bank has stayed strong!

I really appreciate your role here.  The “MSI Impact Program” today touched on an extremely pertinent topic.  The lesson plan was addressing something that I could not really bring up as part of day-to-day department operations.  These Impact Program lesson plans are helping to bring about a better work environment, and a little more unity between team members – in only 5 to 10 minutes per day.  I would even say that many businesses have failed – which likely could have succeeded if they would have had these kinds of impact programs each morning.
